Legal
Privacy policy
How we handle your data when you visit this website or send us an enquiry. In short: no cookies, no tracking, and your details are used for your enquiry only. The German Datenschutzerklärung is the legally binding version; this English page is provided for convenience.
DraftThis privacy policy is a draft and will be reviewed and completed by a lawyer before publication. Still open are the items marked [to follow]: controller, mailbox provider, retention period and supervisory authority.
1. Controller
- Controller
- [to follow] (company, legal form and address as in the legal notice)
2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit, the host processes technical data such as IP address, time and page requested in server logs in order to deliver and secure the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and EU standard contractual clauses.
3. Enquiry forms
The enquiry page has two forms, one for franchisors and one for prospective founders. We process the details from the forms in order to respond to your enquiry and prepare the first consultation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Franchisors: request, number of locations, target regions, name of the system, name, email address, and optionally phone number and message.
Prospective founders: sectors of interest, preferred region, range of available equity, name, email address, and optionally phone number and message.
Delivery to our mailbox runs through the email service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and with which EU standard contractual clauses are in place. Resend stores the data in the USA. Our mailbox is operated by [to follow].
The form contains a hidden field to block automated submissions. It is only evaluated, not stored.
4. Callback
We only use a phone number if you have expressly agreed to a callback (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 7 of the German Unfair Competition Act). We record the time and the wording of your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by email.
5. Sharing with franchise systems
We only pass the details of prospective founders on to franchise systems with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Before anything is shared, we discuss with you which system it is. Until then your details stay with us. You can withdraw your consent at any time by email to p.marijokov@franchiseministerium.de; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
We do not pass the details of franchisors on to third parties unless this is necessary to carry out the engagement or you instruct us to do so.
6. Email contact
If you write to us directly by email, we process your details in order to answer your message (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general enquiries).
7. Retention period
[to follow]. We keep your details only for as long as is necessary to handle your enquiry and to meet statutory retention obligations. Specific periods will be added here.
8. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services, and loads fonts, scripts and images exclusively from its own server. No third-party content (maps, videos, external fonts) is embedded.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). To exercise them, write to p.marijokov@franchiseministerium.de.
